4-H State Congress is an annual three-day event that brings together youth from across Tennessee for a unique blend of leadership, citizenship, and community service activities. It’s a chance for 4-H members in grades 9-12 to elevate their 4-H experience, engage in meaningful learning opportunities, and make lasting memories.
This prestigious event offers workshops and seminars on leadership, public speaking, and community service, providing valuable experiences for attendees. Participants can connect with peers, Tennessee legislators, and professionals, engage in activities that deepen their understanding of government and civic duties, and take part in meaningful community service projects that foster responsibility and empathy. Students that have earned the right to compete at the State level take part in their respective competitions that allow them to showcase their skills and earn recognition, while inspiring talks from industry leaders, government officials, and 4-H alumni provide motivation and insight.
Beyond acquiring skills and knowledge, attendees leave with renewed confidence, a sense of purpose, and the enthusiasm to tackle new challenges, making the event a well-rounded experience for young leaders.
Students from all parts of Tennessee converge at the 4-H State Congress. They are chosen based on their dedication to 4-H, their accomplishments, and their eagerness to grow. These young leaders attend either as county delegates or as state finalists from the Public Speaking or Portfolio contests. The students representing Williamson County this year are Hea A., Deekshitha B., Paili D., Asa I., Daniel J., Laura K., Mary Elizabeth K., Sowmil K., and McKenzy P.
