  • How long is the class?
    • This is a 12-week series (must attend at least 10 sessions for certification).
  • Is there a fee associated with this program?
    • Yes. In past years the cost has been $125 – $150 (depending on when you register).
  • Do I have to have experience in beekeeping prior to attending this course?
    • No, there are no prerequisites for this Basic Level class and you will learn skills to help you be a successful beekeeper!
  • Is there an age limit?
    • Yes. This class is intended for participants over the age of 15; younger youth are encouraged to participate in their county Extension 4-H programs.
  • At Home Beekeeping Webinar
    • This is a FREE virtual class! It is a collaborative training that spans across multiple states and Extension systems.
    • You can watch live via the Lawrence County Alabama Extension Facebook page or register via Zoom.
    • Classes are held monthly from 6:30pm – 7:30pm (CST)
