Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer developed in 2012 as a low-cost option to introduce young people to computing. Unlike Arduino boards or Micro:bit, Raspberry Pi can be used as a full computer with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Linux runs with all applications. It’s possible to run Scratch, Minecraft or Python directly on the Pi. In this class we will introduce you to the Raspberry PI and create multiple electronics projects that can be practical and fun. All hardware and laptops will be provided during class, but you are welcome to buy your own kits as well. Details on what to get and where will be provided before class begins.
There are no Winter/Spring 2024 sessions of Raspberry Pi. You may try our Python 101 class instead!
