Private applicator recertification involves receiving three (1 hour) continuing education classes prior to June 30, 2026. Private applicators can attend individual classes or wait until January 1, 2026 to attend a 3 hour session at the Extension office. You must complete the recertification process during this time frame to roll your certification into the new certification cycle which begins on July 1, 2026 and ends June 30, 2029. The cost is $45. Commercial Applicators can take any session for individual points. Each session lists the categories that qualify for commercial recertification points.

3:00-4:00 pm: IPM and BMP’s to maintain plant health that can reduce the needs for pesticides (1 point PA, C01, C02, C03, C06, C09, C10, C12)
4:15-5:15 pm: Pesticide Safety & Handling- Proper handling and storage of pesticides to reduce environmental and human risks (1 point PA, C01, C02, C03, C06, C09, C10, C12, C04, C07)
5:30-7:00 pm: Sprayer Calibration to optimize pesticide use and reduce off target incidence (1 point PA, C01, C02, C03, C06, C09, C10, C12, C04, C07)
Recorded Sessions
Participants can view the entire recorded session for 3 private applicator points or select any individual session for one point each. Commercial applicator points can be received for the categories listed next to the topics. Recorded sessions available beginning January 14, 2026.
