Micro:Bit

Use the powerful BBC Micro:Bit pocket-sized computer to explore countless software and hardware topics! By connecting the Micro:Bit to their computer and writing basic code, students will bring their ideas to life and strengthen foundational skills in computer science, hardware integration, and coding – which are vital for careers in game development, software engineering, web design, and more!

Grade Level: 4th – 6th grade

There are only 10 spots available for this class! Spots are first come, first served. Spots are not fully reserved until parents complete both registration and payment.

Elvia Klym

Elvia Klym is passionate about facilitating STEM project-based learning to cultivate students to be creative problem solvers. Elvia grew-up in Nashville and has her bachelor’s degree in engineering from The University of Tennessee. She has worked as an engineer in several areas including manufacturing, pre-production operations, vehicle testing, corporate training, and lean engineering consulting. She is currently a 9-12 engineering and unmanned aerial systems teacher at a local high school.
