4-H Python

Python is a high level programming language that is extremely popular for professionals and hobbyists alike. It has an impressive standard library of functions and open-source code. Students will learn Python syntax, programming flow, variables, operators, I/O functions, and code import processes. In this class, students will program in Python using the Linux operating system on a Raspberry Pi computer.  Students will not only write programs in Python but they will also build and connect basic electronic components. If you have taken Python before, you will get a refresher on foundational skills and additional capabilities.

  • Meeting Time: 10 meetings, Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 pm
  • Location: Williamson County Extension – 4215 Long Lane, Franklin, TN 37064
  • Eligibility: 7th-12th Graders
  • Cost: $100

    • January 10, 17, 24 and 31
    • February 7, 21,and 28
    • March 6, 20 and 27
    • April 3, 2024 (Make up class)
  • Class Limit: 12
