Python is a high-level programming language that is popular in engineering and big data analysis as well as general computing. It has an impressive standard library of functions and open source code. Students will learn Python syntax, programming flow, variables, operators I/O functions and code import processes. At completion of the course students will have the skill to turn a program concept into a working application. This group is open to 8th-12th grade students and meets October-November. Students must join at the beginning of the year, please join the “interest list” on the registration form to hear about other opportunities. A Python 201 Spring class is available to students who completed the fall 101 class. $100 class fee.
