Thinking about a career in law, law enforcement, or a crime lab? Do you like to watch shows such as Criminal Minds, Law & Order, and NCIS? If so, this is the class for you! Youth will process mock crime scenes, use science and technology to solve crimes, and learn about how scientific evidence affects state and federal criminal cases. Labs include fingerprinting, blood spatter analysis, blood typing, gun powder residue tests, DNA, and blood alcohol testing. Taught by a federal attorney. This group is open to 7th-12th grade students and meets October-May. Students must join at the beginning of the year, please join the “interest list” on the registration form to hear about other opportunities. $100 per student.
