The Animal Science program is a dynamic and enriching initiative designed to ignite a passion for animal agriculture and production in the youth of today. Whether students dream of becoming veterinarians, livestock managers, or simply want to learn about animals, this program is the perfect fit! Explore nutrition, genetics, behavior, health management, reproduction, and more in hands-on learning experiences. Opportunities to show animals in County, Region and State livestock shows are shared within this program.
The Animal Science program is more than just learning about animals – it’s about fostering well-rounded individuals. Students are highly encouraged to participate in other 4-H opportunities, communications contests, portfolios, Honor Club, and judging events to become confident, articulate, and community-oriented individuals.
Students do not have to own or show animals to participate! Registration for this program is open year-round.
