4-H offers many fun summer camping and workshop opportunities for youth who have completed 4th – 12th grades in the summer. 4-H strives to provide youth with a positive camping experience and to teach youth valuable life skills while they are away from home at camp. Camps vary in length, focus, location, and fees. Please read below for information about the different camps. This year’s camp information will be updated as details are available.

The ultimate Junior High experience – Academic Conference is more than a camp. Students receive extensive, hands-on training in project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists. This conference provides a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences in the classroom laboratory, and outdoors. Learn more about Academic Conference.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Students in 6th – 8th grades must send an application to be selected for Academic Conference. A student can only attend Academic Conference in a particular Project Area once.
WHEN: June 9 – 12, 2026
WHERE: UT Campus, Knoxville, TN
COST: $110, will include lodging, meals, transportation, and activities. Students will also need to carry money for two fast food meals to and from Knoxville, snacks, and optional activities.
TRANSPORTATION: A bus will be provided for this camp. Campers will need to meet the bus in a central location that will be announced (typically in Franklin, Nashville, or Murfreesboro).
REGISTRATION: Campers must apply and be selected to attend this prestigious conference. Please submit an application for each project the student is applying by March 18, 2026 to Doug Berny at dberny@utk.edu. Set your student up for success with our comprehensive Babysitting R.O.C.K.S. day camp, covering all the important safety, first aid, and developmental milestones for babies and young children in preparation for babysitting siblings or to earn some money this summer! In addition, students who attend all meetings will also earn their CPR certification, a great way to stand out in the crowd of other babysitting options and feel fully capable before your first job!

Join our FCS: BTS team for “Coastal Blueprint” – an exploration of architecture, art, interior design, and culinary arts in the historic city of Savannah, Georgia.

This classic outdoor adventure camp is waiting for your student this summer! From swimming, shooting sports, creek stomping, nature hikes, woodworking, music and more, this awesome camp is the perfect way to spend part of their summer.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Any 4-H members in 4th – 6th grades
WHEN: June 1 – June 5, 2026
WHERE: W.P. Ridley 4-H Center, Columbia, TN
COST: $380, which includes lodging, meals, recreational activities, transportation, t-shirt and nametag. The camper should bring $30 – $40 in cash to buy craft items or refreshments from the canteen.
TRANSPORTATION: A bus will be provided for transportation to Junior Camp. All campers must arrive at the Ag Expo Park on Monday, June 1 at 9:00AM to board the bus. The bus will return youth to the Ag Expo Park on Friday, June 5, between 10:45AM – 11:30AM.
