4-H offers many fun summer camping and workshop opportunities for youth who have completed 4th – 12th grades in the summer. 4-H strives to provide youth with a positive camping experience and to teach youth valuable life skills while they are away from home at camp. Camps vary in length, focus, location, and fees. Please read below for information about the different camps. This year’s camp information will be updated as details are available.

The ultimate Junior High experience – Academic Conference is more than a camp. Students receive extensive, hands-on training in project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists. This conference provides a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences in the classroom laboratory, and outdoors. Learn more about Academic Conference.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Students in 6th – 8th grades must send an application to be selected for Academic Conference. A student can only attend Academic Conference in a particular Project Area once.
WHEN: June 9 – 12, 2026
WHERE: UT Campus, Knoxville, TN
COST: $110, will include lodging, meals, transportation, and activities. Students will also need to carry money for two fast food meals to and from Knoxville, snacks, and optional activities.
TRANSPORTATION: A bus will be provided for this camp. Campers will need to meet the bus in a central location that will be announced (typically in Franklin, Nashville, or Murfreesboro).
REGISTRATION: Campers must apply and be selected to attend this prestigious conference. Please submit an application for each project the student is applying by March 18, 2026 to Doug Berny at dberny@utk.edu. Please note that this date differs from the date on promo material – this is so we can provide advice to make your application stronger if needed.

Set your student up for success with our comprehensive Babysitting R.O.C.K.S. day camp, covering all the important safety, first aid, and developmental milestones for babies and young children in preparation for babysitting siblings or to earn some money this summer! In addition, students who attend all meetings will also earn their CPR certification, a great way to stand out in the crowd of other babysitting options and feel fully capable before your first job!

Calling all aspiring chefs! Get ready to spice up your summer with the Cajun Craze 4-H Culinary Camp, where you’ll master cooking basics and simmer in the thrill of a cooking challenge that’ll have your taste buds dancing.

WHEN: July 7 – 9, 2026
WHERE: Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN
COST: $175, which includes lodging, meals, transportation, and activities. Students may want to bring $25 – $30 in spending money for the camp.

Join our FCS: BTS team for “Coastal Blueprint” – an exploration of architecture, art, interior design, and culinary arts in the historic city of Savannah, Georgia.
WHO CAN ATTEND: 9th – 12th Grade

WHERE: Savannah, GA
COST: $450, which includes lodging, meals, transportation, and activities. Students may want to bring $25 – $30 in spending money for the camp.

Build real-world money skills! Learn stocks, bonds, and investing basics while practicing with simulations. Gain confidence making smart financial decisions and planning for your future.
Students will:
- Learn key investment types (stocks, bonds, funds)

This classic outdoor adventure camp is waiting for your student this summer! From swimming, shooting sports, creek stomping, nature hikes, woodworking, music and more, this awesome camp is the perfect way to spend part of their summer.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Any 4-H members in 4th – 6th grades
WHEN: June 1 – June 5, 2026
WHERE: W.P. Ridley 4-H Center, Columbia, TN
COST: $380, which includes lodging, meals, recreational activities, transportation, t-shirt and nametag. The camper should bring $30 – $40 in cash to buy craft items or refreshments from the canteen.
TRANSPORTATION: A bus will be provided for transportation to Junior Camp. All campers must arrive at the Ag Expo Park on Monday, June 1 at 9:00AM to board the bus. The bus will return youth to the Ag Expo Park on Friday, June 5, between 10:45AM – 11:30AM.

LEADERS: One adult is required for each 16 campers. If your parent would like to attend camp for free as a volunteer leader, please call the 4-H office ASAP for more information. If we are short on leaders, some 4-H members may be disappointed that they cannot attend camp.

Get ready for an epic adventure at the Jr High Adventure Camp! Students can enjoy active and engaging programming, focusing on individual development and group dynamics through special interest groups and team events.

WHERE: Clyde York 4-H Center, Crossville, TN

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to and from Clyde York 4-H Center is not provided. Please coordinate transportation for your camper. Campers should arrive Monday at 10:00AM and be picked up on Friday at 10:00AM.

Get back to nature with this primitive camping experience, where students will learn wilderness skills like shelter building, campfire cooking, axe throwing, creek stomping, fishing and more! This experience is much more rustic than other 4-H camps – cabins are basic wooden shelters with no a/c with a separate bathhouse.
WHO CAN ATTEND: Any 4-H member in 7th – 9th grades
WHEN: June 30 – July 3, 2026
WHERE: Camp Woodlee, McMinnville, TN 37110

Explore all things energy, electricity, energy conservation, safety, and more in our hands-on Electric Camp! Electrical specialists from across the state come together to provide in-depth education from electric vehicles, to robotics, to electrical wiring, to wind energy and more.

Learn from shooting sports experts at this exciting camp focused on firearms safety, responsibility, life skills and fostering a love for the outdoors. Students will learn how to safely handle and shoot rifles, bows, shotguns, and muzzleloaders, as well as exploring other hunting and outdoor skills.
