This intro to Engineering will give youth hands-on activities to learn about engineering concepts. In each class students will build working models and then discuss the principle encompassed. Models will be built using educational Lego kits, provided by 4-H. Topics covered will include static and dynamic mechanics, power, renewable energy, fluids, pneumatics and associated scientific laws and equations. This is an ideal class for students potentially interested in a career in Engineering to explore different areas of the discipline. This group is open to 5th-8th grade students and meets September-April. Students must join at the beginning of the year, please join the “interest list” on the registration form to hear about other opportunities. Class and rental fees vary based on class platform.
